I focus on building connection and understanding the story my clients want to tell. Because I specialize in capturing meaningful milestones, whether it’s a multi-generational family gathering, a graduate celebrating a huge achievement, or honoring a beloved senior pet, preparation is everything. I collaborate as closely as my clients want on location, lighting, wardrobe, etc. as needed so they feel more at ease. My goal is to make the session smooth, comfortable, and natural, ensuring the final images preserve their legacy authentically and capture the beauty of the moment.

I am based in the Greater Austin area (Pflugerville, TX) and serve throughout Central Texas, including Round Rock, Georgetown, and the Texas Hill Country. I am also available and excited to travel for destination events beyond the local area.

Your complete, fully edited high-resolution gallery will be delivered via a private online gallery within 1-2 weeks for portrait sessions and 4 to 6 weeks for events (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). Photos can be downloaded, shared, favorited, and printed directly from your gallery!

My background of over 20 years in special education gives me a unique edge in communication, organization, and making people of all ages and abilities feel supported. On the technical side, I’ve invested years of self-teaching in mastering mirrorless gear, lighting, and editing workflows. I'm also certified in Newborn Posing and Safety. I treat photography as a continuous craft, constantly refining my techniques to deliver timeless and emotive images.

My passion for photography grew from observing both of my parents as artists from an early age. My mom was the first to put a camera in my hand and I instantly gained a desire to freeze meaningful moments in time. I later realized how incredibly powerful a single portrait can be for a family's history. That passion naturally evolved into a professional pursuit, leading me to launch my own studio in honor of my dad (the "G" in GKW) after his passing. A driving force for me is being able to use my camera for purpose, such as offering specialized sessions that honor the bond between families and their senior or aging pets as an affiliate of the Tilly Project.

I work with individuals and families from all backgrounds. As a special educator, I specialize in school aged children and people with different abilities. I frequently work with clients who want meaningful, relaxed portraits rather than overly posed studio setups, and I specialize in creating a comfortable environment for everyone, from energetic kids to cherished senior pets.
